Kirk Family Homecoming

So on Thanksgiving day I got an email from Jenna about this awesome opportunity to capture a unique family moment on video. Her husband Jesse is in the military and went on a 7 month deployment. During his deployment Jenna gave birth to their first-born child, a beautiful baby girl named Jianna. Now, I am a dad to two little girls myself and so I can’t even imagine what it must be like for military families who end up going through these kind of situations. Getting connected with Jenna gave me a whole new appreciation for the sacrifices they have to make.

So real quick before you watch the video, I need to give a BIG shout out to Alex Slupski who stepped in and at the last minute filled in for me and filmed the actual event. (What you’ll see I merely did the edit for.) I was originally supposed to film but after Jesse’s return was delayed by a day due to weather, my schedule no longer allowed me to make it out. Alex stepped up and on very short notice got the job done. He is seriously, THE MAN. He is crazy talented and you should check him out by going to Hiring him for a video project is money well spent!

Ok that’s all for now. Join me in saying a very big CONGRATULATIONS to the Kirk family on their homecoming! Now grab some tissues and take a look!

A Message For Parents - Doug Fields

Are you a parent? Well then do yourself a VERY big favor and take the next 45 minutes to watch this teaching. By tomorrow you are not going to remember most of the useless junk you scrolled through on Instagram or Facebook. So why not do something right now that could have an incredibly positive impact on your children??

THIS VIDEO WILL MAKE YOU A BETTER PARENT. Or at least, if you respond to it’s teachings it will. So watch this for the benefit of not just yourself, but even more importantly….watch this for THEM.

Worth it.

Lehmann Family | Jacksonville Family Photographer

I've known Ed for over 20 years now. He's been a major part of my life and one of the many reasons I am where I am today. It started when he was one of my youth group leaders at a small church in Ponte Vedra when I was only 13 years old. Not only did he help to instill good and God honoring values into my life as a youth, but since I was still too young to drive he would give me and my friend Ryan rides to the Mayport Poles to go surfing AND he always paid for the parking. (Don't think I've forgotten about that Ed!)

Fast forward a little bit and when I was 18 years old Ed took me on a mission trip to Peru. It was there that I met Melanie for the first time. She was the co-leader for that trip and went on to become Ed's wife afterwards. So that is part of how this whole thing you're about to see below got started. :)

So the Lehmann's will always be near and dear to me. When I got the call to do some family portraits for them I was very excited. They have two beautiful (and energetic!) kiddos who are growing up WAY too fast. But that's ok because they made the photo shoot very NOT boring.

Ed currently works at The Church of Eleven22 (and was the one who got me connected with The DEMP Project from this post) but will venturing out later this year to answer a tremendous call on his life to start a new church as Lead Pastor. It will still be here in Jacksonville and knowing Ed the way I do, and his passion for God, it's going to be awesome!

Sunny 8 Months | Jacksonville Baby Photographer

If you've been following along with me on here then you might remember a very special shoot I did earlier this year for my close friends Ashley and Jimbo. (If you missed it here is the link. You should click it. Sunny's Newborn Shoot)

Sunny is now 8 months old and looking cuter then ever. Take a look at their latest family shoot we did this past weekend at the UNF nature trails.

Suzanne C. Photography Promo (VIDEO)

Every photographer's dilemma—you get hired a lot to take pictures of other people's families but rarely do you have an opportunity to be on the other side of the camera with your own family.

When Suzanne gave me the call about being interested in doing a promo video, I took one look at her work and knew right away that I wanted her to be MY photographer! Take a look at the promo video I made for her as well as the family session she shot for me.

You can view more of her beautiful work at the following links:

Sunny Clementine

Where do I start with this one?

Ashley, Jimbo and myself go back 20 years. Two of the most God loving people I know and two of my best friends on this planet. We have been all over the world together and we have more memories than I can even begin to recount.

For those of you who share with me in the privilege of calling these two your friends, then you also share with me in the absolute JOY it is to see the miracle and blessing that has come into their lives in the form of little precious Sunny Clementine. She is the long awaited answer to many years of bold and faithful prayers.

Born on the side of the road and spending the first month of her life in a neonatal intensive-care unit, she has fought through and now finds herself as part of a new family with a mom and dad who will love her more than anything else in this world. And above all, they will show her the love of Jesus.

Congratulations to Ashley, Jimbo and Sunny on your new journey together as a family. We love you!!!

Kelly + Bump | Adam Szarmack Jacksonville Maternity Photographer

So this maternity shoot has a little extra meaning for me. This is my sister-in-law and mommy to be Kelly. In just a few weeks from now she and her husband will be bringing a new little addition to our family--a baby boy! We are super excited for them and can't wait to meet the little guy!
